Angel in Our Hearts is a deeply personal song I wrote after the loss of my daughter Aoife in 2018. Singing has always been my passion, but after moving to Ireland, I set music aside. It wasn’t until Aoife passed that I found the strength to pick up a pen again. For years, every song I tried to write was about her, but I couldn’t finish them until one day, I realised that the pain of losing her was too deep to ignore any longer. I had to let it out. Writing this song was my way of honoring Aoife and sharing my grief with the world. It’s a message for anyone who’s experienced loss: it’s okay to feel that pain, and it’s okay to share it. Angel in Our Hearts is my way of saying that even in the darkest moments, our loved ones never truly leave us. This song is not just about my loss it’s for anyone who’s been touched by grief, a reminder that we carry our loved ones in our hearts forever. It took me a long time to find the strength to finish it, but I’m proud to share it with you now.
